I’ve been talking a lot about the new 4×6 flashcards that I have been marathon creating. I am slightly obsessed.
I started making these when I realized I was falling short on Greyson’s homeschooling because I was sick of printing (the cost, and the act) his activity / educational cards (that he really loves), then to top it all off I have to cut them out. I really do not like doing it … so I stopped.
Until now. 🙂
How Educational Cards Work
- Instead of printing these off on your home printer – you print them just like you would a 4×6 photo from your last vacation, or your babies newborn photos.
- You can download the cards you want to have – and ether 1) save them to a USB and take them to your local print store (Wal-mart, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, etc) and print off Instant Prints. OR 2) You can download your cards and immediately upload them same print centers and pick them up in an hour, or have an online source like Shutterfly print them and mail them right to your drawer!
- Their are so many different cards available:
- Activity Cards – Cards that are meant to be interactive. They are also called Clip Cards. I have Lego Alphabet and Snap Cube, along with CVC, Beginning Letter Sounds, and other Cards —> These are amazing for learning centers! You can grab all of them (for free) over on my Flashcard Page!
- We love these clips!
- Fact / Flashcards – These are used to educate kids on a certain subject. I currently have a few available – Presidents, Planet Flashcards, and Animal Classification. I have some pretty darn awesome ones coming soon!

How to Store Educational Cards:
- I keep all of our cards in this Iris Photo Storage Box. I love how the box keeps the individual cards in their own little box. The cards do not get bent, or mixed up! The individual cases are perfect to toss into your purse for on the go learning / activities.
- When we are using them – I keep them hanging via a ring clip on a command hook above Greyson’s desk. We currently have the CVC educational cards hanging on the wall –> for daily work & practice.
