Scott and I have not listed our home for sale, and we actually have not even started talking about it. That being said, I know…I just do; that we will be selling our home in 2013. It could be in 10 months, or it could be in 23 days! I am not sure if I have mentioned this before, but we are “movers” we have
Greyson’s Favorite Toys
This past Christmas Scott and I went all out crazy for Greyson. It was huge, it was ridiculous, it was completely overwhelming for him. We had reason though. See he has had a ton of toys, BUT they were for a much younger age and they were all loud, had flashing lights, buzzed and were very stimulating… to stimulating. He was backing off from
New year = A new Budget Binder!
I know, it is not completely normal to look so forward to January just so I can create a new budget binder for our family. But I just love it. I love making printables, I love the organization, and I love taking care of our finances. Just two weeks ago Scott and I were blessed to be able to fly to Utah to attend
More Updates!
So I finally got around to snapping the photos, of the wall hangings in our entryway. Remember how plain and boring the wall looked, after I stripped off all the wallpaper, and then repainted? Yeah, very sad… Well I took a look around our storage room and garage and found some pieces that I was not completely in love with, but they were free, and
Financial Re-Focus
I am very happy with how our family is doing financially. I have been diligent in keeping our/my spending down, and minimizing house projects. (Which are always 3x the amount I planned on them being). Updates: 1) Scott was accepted into RIT’s Masters in Business program. He starts September 3rd. Therefore, as of September 3rd our family just accrued 50,000 more of debt. YIKES. Thankfully
Quick Safety Tip
So while I was perusing Pinterest I came across this picture: *The photo was directly uploaded by the user….Anyway I saw it and I decided that this was a pin I needed to do, right away. If (God Forbid) we were ever in an accident and unable to tell emergency help important information about Greyson…. well I cannot even think about all of it. So
Dining Room – Phase Two
So the last time I left off I was cursing because of my dining room. I have completed phase two a while ago, but I am just getting around to posting about it.I removed all of the wallpaper, filled the groves of the paneling, primed and then painted the walls. I also refinished the dresser (turned dining room hutch), and the dining room chairs. We
Catch-up Post
Sorry I have been gone for so long. I feel like I am failing big time. Again, please accept my apologies! We have been very busy at the Butler casa, lately. Many projects, and updates taking place. We’ve been working on: Landscaping Dining room makeover Dining room furniture refinishing Getting quotes from some contractors for a living room overhaul Trying to keep up with everything,
Recipe Organization
Sorry, I was not around last week. I have what feels like a million posts to write, and edit photos for, but my husband had to borrow the camera for work the past few days. BUT I can give a short update on my recipe organizing. I created a template to organize all of my recipes. I am going to use a similar system as
The Great Garage Cleanout Challenge – Part 2
I have been working my tail off trying to purge and sort through all the boxes and bins in my garage, this past week. I was not able to get through it all before this post today, but hopefully with the upcoming weekend, my husbands muscles and some beautiful weather we will be able to get it completely sorted. THEN comes the really fun
