I have been working my tail off trying to purge and sort through all the boxes and bins in my garage, this past week. I was not able to get through it all before this post today, but hopefully with the upcoming weekend, my husbands muscles and some beautiful weather we will be able to get it completely sorted. THEN comes the really fun part, organizing it, and making it look a whole lot prettier.

Remember what I was starting with?

Yeah, we could barely walk through it! I am going to do some before and after shots, from the most similar angles I have to show you what purging can get you!

Before. Seriously, where would you walk!?

Here are some more in-progress pictures:

It is still not even close to completed, but I can definitely see progress!

Here is my purge pile: 98% of the pile is cardboard boxes. I need to break them all down and take them to be recycled. Garage Part 2 009

I plan on heading back out there this afternoon to continue with the purging. Once everything is out of the garage that does not belong there, my system will be the following:

  1. Clean. I am going to sweep and hose down the floors. Wash down the cupboards, and dust the shelves and bins.
  2. Make it lighter, brighter and more pleasant! I have some (hopefully) awesome, and really inexpensive ideas on how to do this.
  3. Set up a home gym area for the hubby.

BUT, before I can get to any of that my home is really crying out for some attention. It is kind of filthy. So I am going to spend the next hour or so giving it a much needed facelift, in the form of my Basic H, and some cleaning rags!
