So I thought it would be fun if on Wednesday’s I posted about something we’ve purchased / did / saw, etc. I would write about it, and then say if I thought it was worth it. So welcome to my first edition of
I thought I would start the series off on a good note, with something that I totally LOVE!
For mothers day I bought myself an early present. I went to Target and bought a Hoover Floor Mate. (it is cheaper on amazon!)
Here she is.
Have I mentioned that I love her?
The Hoover Floormate is a Hard Floor Cleaner. She has three settings. 1) Vacuum 2) Wash 3) Dry
I will admit that I had high hopes for this little machine. (And she did not disappoint) When we got back from Target I decided to really test it out. I mopped my hallway like I normally did every week. THEN I went over the same spot that was suppose to already be clean, with the Hoover Floormate I was so grossed out by how much dirt was still left! The water was brown.
Gross.
I think my favorite feature is the vacuum. I still do a quick sweep before getting this baby out. But before washing my floors I always go over them on the vacuum setting. Again, I am always shocked by how much hair and dirt particles I pick up after just getting done sweeping.
Hmmm… maybe that says a lot about my cleaning skills? oh, well.
The comes the next best part, it actually scrubs my floors! I stand there holding it just like I would a normal vacuum and move it across my hard surface floors. There is a little trigger to dispense the cleaning solution. You can uses Hoovers, or your own concoction.
To be 100% honest, I do find that if there is something actually on my floor (More than daily surface dirt) like jelly in the kitchen, or mascara in the bathroom I have to hold the spinning bristles on the spot for a little while before it disappears. But, all I have to do is stand there, no physical scrubbing is done on my part, so it is a win-win in my book!
Once the cleaning has done its magic, you turn the dial to dry and run the unit over the wet floor, is sucks up any remaining water leaving you with a sparkling clean and dry floor.
I paid $150.00 for this machine. Which is NOT even a tiny bit inexpensive in my book. But I do think it was worth the money. My floors are so much cleaner. I clean them more often, and it is so easy to use. I also feel like she is solid and sturdy. That she will last the long haul with us.
OH! And there is this tiny feature, that some may completely ignore, but I think it is great. With the press of a lever the handle folds down. I store her in my freshly organized hallway closet. Being able to fold the handle down gives me direct access to two more shelves; without having to mover he an inch.
So hands down I give this baby
I would love to know – what is your favorite cleaning tool? Leave me a comment of send me a message on Facebook!
ALSO- Will you help me name her? I feel like she deserves a proper name. After all, she is worth it.
