Over the past two week I have shared with your some fall themed Preschool Worksheets. We’ve covered Find the Missing Letter, Find the Missing Number, and Finish the Pattern.

Today we are sticking with the fall theme, but we are going to work on Autumn / Fall Words. Specifically 3-letter and 4-letter words.

Download your Preschool Worksheets – Word Puzzle HERE!

Unlike the previous worksheets these do not require any cutting or gluing. *If you are hoping for more of those, make sure you comeback on Wednesday!!* 🙂

Your preschooler will more than likely need your help with these worksheets! Start by introducing your preschooler to the new word. I am sure they will be able to guess what the word is based on the image next to it, however take this time as an opportunity to introduce new sight words to your child!

In the beginning you might need to help / show your preschooler how to find the word inside the puzzle on the right hand side. *By matching the letters in order*  You’ll probably only need to show them how this works on one or two of the puzzles before they grasp it.

There are many ways your little one can show that they have found the word, depending on their age and fine motor skills. Here are just a few options:

  1. Trace the letters in order to spell out the word
  2. Circle / place a box around the word
  3. Use a highlighter to put a line through the word
  4. Underline the word

Make sure you check back later for an add-on game / puzzle that goes along with these word puzzles!! You can also see my full list of Fall / Autumn themed printables here!
