Baby #2 Wish list

Being pregnant (30 weeks!) with our second child has been so much different than when I was pregnant with our first. I feel less anxious about what to expect after his arrival – it is more of a psyching myself up type of feeling. You know, sleepless nights, physical changes **PLEASE no broken tailbone this time!** the spit up, the diapers, etc.

I am not sure if knowing what to expect is better or worse…. hmmmm

Anyway, I have 5 things that are on my “wish list” / things that I will be doing differently with this child. You know since I am such an expert now. : /

Baby #2 wish list

#1: THIS  nursing cover! I just love it. I did not have a nursing cover with Greyson. I also did not nurse as long as I wished I had before I kinda gave up and switched to formula. This time around I feel MUCH more determined to nurse this little one. My determination really has nothing to do with the whole “breast is best” dispute. Greyson who was mostly formula fed is smart, loving, calm, kind and so many more amazing characteristics. Instead it has to do with the cost of formula and washing those darn bottles and all of their parts! Not only do I NOT want to spend the money I do not want to wash those bottles….ever again! 🙂

You can actually get this (and so many more) nursing covers for just the cost of shipping! Visit this website and use code “OBH2014” to only pay shipping and handling!! That makes them only $15.00.

#2: Greyson will be 4 years old when this little one arrives. So even if we still had his infant car-seat, we would be getting a new one. I feel like 4 years is a long time between uses. So we are going with the the newest version of Greyson’s infant seat; the baby trend flex loc. We had no issues with it, it is reasonably priced and most of all it has high safety ratings! *My parents have actually already purchased the car-seat and double stroller as the babies Christmas gift.* 🙂

The stroller was the hardest decision to make. We wanted a double stroller since we still use our jogging stroller frequently. But which of the million options do I go with?! We ended up going with the sit and stand since we still have the jogging stroller, and Greyson is growing up and it is not completely necessary for him to be in the stroller.

#3: A reflector: I took a lot of photos of Greyson as an infant (and now as a preschooler) but I think they could have been a whole lot better. This reflector is less than $20.00 and will take my newborn photos *hopefully* to a whole new level!

#4: Car Seat Canopy: There are a few reasons I want to get a car seat canopy. One it would be serious upgrade from my previous canopy; which was just a blanket draped over Greyson’s car-seat.  I wont be going with just a blanket this time around because for that method you really need a fee hand. Which I will no longer have available. I will be carrying the car-seat in my right hand / arm, and holding onto Greyson’s hand with my left hand. I wont have that hand free to make sure the blanket stays in place.

  •  It is really cold here in the winter. Like really really cold. Last winter they cancelled school multiple times simply because it was too cold / too dangerous for kids to be outside. This canopy will help protect the baby from wind burn
  • These are nice to deter people from reaching out and touching the babies face. Especially having a baby in early December AKA cold and flu season.

Just like with the nursing covers I was able to snag you all an amazing deal. Just use promo code “OBH2014” to get these for only the cost of shipping and handling!!

#5: Aiden & Anais Burpy Bibs: Greyson was a serious spitter-upper. I am just going to plan on this one doing the same thing. You know- ruining all of our clothing with his spit up! I have only heard amazing things about the shape and size of these burpy bibs. They are a bit of a splurge (in my eyes), But I hope they will be worth it! I am also on the mission to “hack” these and sew my own. I just need one so I can create a template!

I totally can’t relate as I’m childless. But I do get the love for all the baby gear! Shopping for baby showers is fun and help me please when I find the onesies. Wishing you a happy rest of pregnancy!
