Greyson and I have been focusing on basic Preschool Math concepts lately. The past few days I have been using Learning Resources Snap Cubes to demonstrate basic addition and subtraction. He seems to be getting it! YAY! So to take it to the “next level” I made some Preschool Math – Simple Subtraction worksheets for him. They are still on the easier end, since they only go up to the number 5. With the snap cubes he is working all the way up to the number 10. But, since it is a new way of looking at subtraction I decided to start small and only go to the number 5.

How to use these worksheets:
- Every equation (4-2) shows the total number of objects { 4 submarines } with the correct number of objects with a line through them { 2 submarines }
- Have you child count the total number of objects
- then draw along the lines of the crossed out objects
- Count the total objects left
- Have your child write the answer in the rectangle on the right.
If needed you can use the cubes along with these worksheets – but hopefully they will soon begin to do subtraction in different forms.

Hi Lindsay! I’m visiting from Mama Moments. I have several PreK students I am teaching this year, so this is perfect! Thanks for the printable!
