So I am on a mission to start creating educational / fun / inspiring / and exciting busy bags for Greyson. We have a hard time getting out of the house for a specific reason, for an extended period of time. Grey gets bored, and antsy…so these are my hope in once again going out to dinner. Or making a full round of Disc golf!
Last week I made my first “Busy Activity”. Unfortunately it is a little advanced for Greyson, be he can grow into it. Thankfully, he has enjoyed it so far, even though he struggles with the clothespins.
I created a color/shape wheel, with corresponding clothespins.
I created the wheel in Photoshop, and then printed and colored in the shapes. I wanted to make sure the shape color and the color on the clothespin were exactly the same.
I did learn how much I LOVE Crayola crayons. I had gotten a few boxes of Crazy-art crayons for free a few weeks ago, and used those…they were very waxy, and did not transfer well. Use Crayola. Lesson learned…
Once I had the wheel colored, I used a self laminating sheet to give it some protection, and sturdiness.
So after coloring them all in, and coloring the clothespins; I decided to go back to Photoshop. I went online and found all of the Crayola Colors, and their corresponding Photoshop color code. I then went ahead, and created a template for everyone, that has the Crayola colors matched up:
The colors are:
Crayola Orange
Crayola Green
Crayola Yellow
Crayola Violet (Purple)
Crayola Blue
Crayola Carination Pink
Crayola Gray
Crayola Red
