Last week I wrote about how important it is to read books to our children for AT LEAST 20 minutes a day. I shared this little graphic that explains how reading can have a dramatic affect on our children’s academic lives!
I asked the awesome people that are friends with me over on Facebook to tell me their children’s favorite books! I was thrilled with the response. I decided to share them with everyone. We are always looking for new book recomendations. You do not have to purchase these, you can borrow them from the library, or do a book exchange with your mom friends! Both are great ways to introduce new books without have to actually buy anything.

I know how hard it can be to carve out 20 minutes a day especially when you are trying to get sleepy babies settled and in bed. You absolutely do not have to only read at bedtime. Sitting down in the middle of the day to read to your child is a great way to reconnect, settle, and have some bonding time!
As a parent there are a million different things pulling at as constantly, however, I strongly believe that making the time to read to your children every.single.day is a serious game changer in their lives!
I’d love to hear what your child’s favorite book is! Leave me a comment to let me know!
