Are you looking for a free preschool assessment set? Well, I’ve got your covered! This totally free Preschool Assessment Printable is exactly what you need to assess your preschooler’s abilities. This set is a great starting point for kids starting at the age of three. However! Make sure that your expectations for three-year-olds are not too high. Remember that children need to be taught these skills – and that these Preschool Assessment Forms are just the starting point!

These are great to reference what a child still needs to work on – not so much what a child needs to know by a certain age!

Preschool Assessment and Goals Workbook! What an amazing and fun resource to use with your preschooler! It lets parents know in what areas their preschooler excels, and which areas they could use a little extra work! This resource is amazing!

Preschool Assessment

This Preschool Assessment & Goals Workbook still has been designed to be engaging for children, and easy to assess. Many of the pages can be used for all children in your classroom. OR for a single child if you are homeschooling

What exactly do these preschool assessment forms assess? A lot! With vibrant colors and engaging images, you can assess a child’s knowledge in the following categories.

  • Alphabet– Uppercase and Lowercase – you can use this as a letter identifier but also for advanced kiddos letter sounds!
  • Numbers 1-20
  • Counting – Counting images.
  • Basic Shapes Assessment – Square, circle, triangle, rectangle, heart, oval, diamond, star
  • Colors – blue, pink, yellow, green, black, orange, white, gray, red, brown, blue, and purple
  • Tracing – trace the shapes – and trace the lines
  • Pattern Recognition – Can they complete the patterns, ranging in difficulty
  • Same / Different – what image does not belong?
  • Directional Preschool Assessment– In Front of, Behind, Above, Below
  • Matching – What Letter/shape matches?
  • Goals – Every child should have specific goals based on the results of the preschool assessment. Here you can set goals for six categories! (Literacy, math, art, language, fine motor, personal”
  • Along with the All About Me Page! I have included a fun page in this preschool assessment – something that parents are sure to love. I suggest including this page along with the assessment conclusion form when presenting it to parents!

    Hello,

How often do you use the Assessment and Goals Book? How do you specifically set the goals with your students? Are they involved in the goal setting process? What exactly does that look like?

    Thank you!

This is awesome! Is there any way to get an editable version? I just wanted to change the date and for it to say positional rather than directional to match our guidelines here in Texas. Thanks!
