Ever since giving birth to Greyson 4 years ago, I’ve always loved reading what other moms found to be the most important items in their homes. I have analyzed our days since Hudson was born and came up with my top 5 must haves for Newborn Babies. Specifically my baby.
So here are my 5 Must Haves for newborn babies … for the second time around.
Rock & Play – Both boys have used this rock and play! It really is a life saver. They fold up easily, and the legs come off so it is easy to pack up and travel with. Hudson lays in this everyday while I shower. Most days he even falls asleep during my shower and spends is morning nap in it. Also, did you know they have a self rocking one now!?!?
Bomb Shelter Baby – This has been a serious life saver. When I nursed Greyson I never ever nursed in public. I did not feel comfortable at all. With this full coverage nursing cover I have already nursed Hudson in public multiple times! It make sit so easy, and I have no fear of “showing any goods”. Another bonus of this cover is that it helps keep me and baby warm. We live in western New York where the temperatures have been in the negatives all week!
**Bonus!** Use code LINDSAY to get a discount on your own Bomb Shelter!
I was nursing Hudson here, WHILE shopping for a new winter coat! I love me some multitasking. 🙂
Sound Machine – Again, we have had this sound machine since Greyson was little. When Hudson arrived we convinced Greyson to let his little brother use it, since he no longer needed / wanted to have it on at night. the while noise is such a game changer for our little one! He sleeps SO much longer and deeper with the noise behind him. I love that in addition to the sound options it has a built in night light, and rotating images that are projected on the ceiling.
The sound machine is often used for newborn babies all the way to up preschool age!
Kick ‘N Play Piano – Hudson is only 5 weeks old and already plays with this every day. It will give me the occasional 10 minute reprieve, which makes it invaluable to me!
Digital Spout Cover – I have always been someone who takes really hot showers. I like it to be so hot it almost stings. I have always been nervous that since I like the water so hot that when giving the boys a bath that what I think is a “normal / safe” temperature will still be too hot, so I tend to go in the opposite direction and make the water too chilly. Either way it is not good. This spout cover ensure the water is at the perfect temperature and it protects Greyson’s noggin from his jumping and splashing around!
