The day before I went into labor with Greyson I was loading the dishwasher and our plumbing backed up on us! I had a sink full of dishes, and dishwasher that did not work it was Saturday night and I was suppose to be induced the following Monday. I kept myself calm by saying we’d just make an emergency call to a plumber the following morning (Sunday)… I would play the 9 months pregnant and being induced on Monday card and they would take pity on me and come running over to fix it. In addition, our kitchen was being dry-walled, and we had some minor updates / remodeling going on. Why oh why did I do that?!

Well my plan did not work – I ended up going into labor at 2:00 am on Sunday morning and while I was at the hospital I was thinking about how our house was a total disaster. I was actually stressed out while there; worrying about the state of our home. Thankfully the plumbing got fixed immediately (Thank god for handy Father-In-Laws!!), and the other minor updates were halted, and life went on.

However, This time around I have been very adamant that I would not do that to myself again. Thankfully, we have the babies room all set-up. Greyson has moved into his new big boy room, and the house overall is tidy and “ready”. However, I find myself with the nesting urge much more frequently this time around, and sometimes I just need to do more than pick up the living room…again. So I have rounded up some of the best cleaning tips / tricks / and methods to take my nesting urges to the next level!

Oh, how I can relate to your story. I was unloading/reloading the dishwasher between contractions with baby #2 because I didn’t want to deal with a mess when I got home. Such a virgo, huh?
