I am so in love with these adorable cupcake stands. (Even though I used them as muffin stands) I think they were just so darn cute sitting at the kids table during Greyson’s 3rd birthday party.
Everything needed to make these I picked up at Hobby Lobby. **NOTE- I ended up NOT using the Cement glue. The handy dandy glue gun was much easier, and faster) All said and done these little cupcake stands cost less than a dollar each.
All you do is glue the thin round wooden disc to the top of the wooden candle stick. Once the glue dried I painted the stand white.
At this point I thought they were cute but could be even cuter. So I used some ribbon (shown above) and went around the edge of the round disc. I still used my glue gun for this step. It took about a minute or less each, and it immediately took them up a notch.
I really believe that it is the small decorating / special touches that make a party so special! These were so inexpensive to make, but they look cute at the kids table. BUT beyond that every child felt special and thought it was so much fun to have their own little muffin (cupcake) stand. They are easy to store, and pull out for special breakfast days in the future.
I am thinking these would make an awesome addition to a Valentines’ Day breakfast!!
