A daily conversation in our house goes a little something like this:
Greyson- Do you want to see how strong I am?
Me- Sure
Greyson then proceeds to stand on the scale in the bathroom and then tells me his weight.
Greyson- I am 37! That is strong
Me- Greyson, that is how much you weigh. The number shows how heavy you are.
Greyson – Yeah I am strong.
Me- *sigh*
This happens Every.Single.Day It is kinda driving me crazy.
So with the help of our grocery store and our weekly shopping trips I am determined to teach Greyson the concept of weight.

This printable packet comes with 5 pages. How it works:
- Before you go to the grocery store OR on the way to the grocery store have your little one look at the page that has the comparisons (OR) on it. Have them circle the fruit or vegetable that they believe will weigh the most.
- At the grocery store let your child find the fruit or vegetable in the produce section and allow them to use the produce scale to weigh them
- On the line to the right of the produce have them write the weight of the produce
- When you get home OR on the way home have them look at their first sheet and compare it to the sheet where they wrote the weights. Where they right?
- The final sheet is used to sort the produce from the heaviest to the lightest. I cut out the squares and have Greyson glue them in order on a piece of construction paper.
I put the sheets on a clipboard for him. It is easier for him to write that way, and it keeps the paper from falling on the floor. We have this one but I think that this one would be really useful!
