I’d like to introduce you to the newest addition to our family:
Here is Lola. Well as of right now we are calling her Lola but we are not 100% sold on her
name… Either way she is adorable and we are both rather surprised that she is ours.
A little background information: I grew up around animals. I had and still have a childhood dog(s). Bob and Roxie. Both are old but still very much alive. They still mean so much to me, and I miss not having one of them around me. Scott my darling and wonderful husband, did not have a dog or any animals at all growing up. He always wanted one, but they never had one. Now that we own a home, and have Greyson we both knew we wanted him to have a pet growing up.
However, we decided that we would wait until he was older, and we were a little more settled…. 4 days later we have Lola. Yep! It really is surprising to me. My husband is not a spur of the moment, make rash decisions, or fall in love with a picture of a dog kind of guy. He is very level headed, and likes to think things through. He sent me her photo with a few short phrases that went a little like this “I love her, she would be perfect for us, we have to get her”
We talked about it for a few days, and long story short we decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. We both have fallen madly in love with her. But it wont be easy, taking care of a 15 month old baby boy, and now a 10 week old puppy, but it is a decision we made together and we will see this through! So here are some more photos of miss Lola, or, Ivy, or patches, or sprinkles or whatever else name we throw out there, trying to land on the right one.
Miss Thing, is a Parson Russell Terrier. She is 10 weeks old and weighs only 5 pounds. She is FULL of energy. Greyson is very interested in her and wants to pet and love on her, but he does not like it when she jumps on him. He yells STOP (well its OP) and tries to make an escape.
If anyone is interested, we are crate training here, as well as taking obedience classes with her.
