Have you ever wondered what your child’s reading comprehension is? Or maybe you’d like an additional activity for them after story time. This reading comprehension worksheet is a great way for kids to:
- Answer “WH” questions about books (who, what, where, when)
- Learn their “WH” sight words
- Practice their handwriting skills
- Improve their reading comprehension abilities.
Whether it’s a 5-minute story, or you are working your way through a chapter book, having your kid take the time to answer these questions about what they just heard / read is a great way to get them to analyze all that they just absorbed.
These worksheets are great for young learners who are comfortable with writing. Usually right around Kindergarten, age!

I love that Greyson is able to practice his handwriting (he still needs all the practice he can get!) Side note- I have some awesome handwriting practice pages that you can grab, here! And when we read chapter books (like The Jungle Book) it is a great way to keep track of the story-line day-by-day!

How I Plan To Use The Worksheet:
This summer Greyson is participating in a Summer Reading Challenge. I am hoping to read through as much of The Magic Treehouse series with him as possible. I will have him complete this worksheet after our Summer Reading Challenge Sessions. Since the books are for kids a little older than Greyson – it will be a great way for me to gauge his reading comprehension of the books!
This worksheet is just what we wanted but when I click the link the lines are all slanted on the page. I think you uploaded the wrong pdf.
